We are looking for a dedicated, organized person who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The Prep/Line Cook is responsible for prepping ingredients and preparing our menu items to help create our vision for an awesome menu. To be successful as a Prep/Line Cook, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and advance their skills and learn all areas of the kitchen.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to the restaurants standardized recipes.
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
- Ensures food and ingredients are fresh for service.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen including all surfaces, cooking and preparation equipment and refrigeration equipment.
- Stay calm in stressful or emergent situations; help those around you feel more at ease.
- Keep up to date and improve your skills on standard and emerging cooking and preparation techniques.
- Special projects as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Culinary school an asset.
- Prior experience in related food preparation.
- Strong knowledge of health and sanitation standards.
- Ability to use all equipment and techniques for all duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Food safe level one.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
