On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced and detail-oriented candidates for an open vacancy as a Shipping & Customs Documentation / Shipping Coordinator in Waterloo.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, shipping, and logistics experience who is confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role is heavily focused on documentation accuracy, customs/shipping paperwork, and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, with some hands-on warehouse support as required.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with detailed paperwork, and able to balance both administrative and operational shipping duties.
This position is not open to students.
Pay Rate: $28.10/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days – Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

- Prepare, process, and verify all shipping and customs documentation (bills of lading, shipping orders, commercial invoices, customs paperwork)
- Ensure accuracy of international and domestic shipping documents in compliance with company and customs requirements
- Record shipment data including charges, damages, shortages, and discrepancies
- Code, enter, and distribute invoices to appropriate departments
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment processing
- Track and maintain shipment records and documentation files
- Support the Shipping Department with administrative and clerical duties
- Assist with production floor support when required, including operating tow motor/reach truck as needed
- Operate related equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and scales when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, customs documentation, or warehouse coordination
- Strong experience handling paperwork, data entry, and detailed record keeping in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with shipping systems, bills of lading, and customs/shipping processes
- Forklift license (Tow Motor/Reach Truck) is an asset
- Comfortable supporting both administrative and warehouse functions
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- Experience with customs documentation or international shipping processes
- Experience operating Tow Motor, Reach Truck, or other material handling equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
