Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Tree Service Laborer in Orillia & Area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on various landscape and horticultural projects, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of our clients' properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rigging, GIS, and bucket operation, with a passion for landscape maintenance and horticulture. This position is vital for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of complex outdoor tasks, supporting our commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Chainsaw experience absolutely mandatory
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, planting, mulching, and lawn care to maintain aesthetic appeal and health of outdoor spaces.
- Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lifting equipment safely for tree trimming, utility line work, or other elevated tasks.
- Utilize GIS technology to assess site conditions, plan routes, and document project progress accurately.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy materials or equipment during landscape or construction projects.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of horticultural features such as gardens, trees, and shrubs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during equipment operation and landscape activities.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in rigging, bucket operation, or related outdoor technical work.
- Knowledge of GIS applications relevant to landscape or utility projects.
- Hands-on experience with bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment.
- Background in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working at heights.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
