As a Personal Support Worker at Pioneer Ridge, you’ll be part of a skilled and compassionate team of over 200 staff supporting 150 residents in a warm, home-like setting. How You’ll Support the Team
In this role, you’ll provide individualized care in accordance with professional and legislative standards, and Pioneer Ridge’s vision, mission, and caring philosophy. You’ll participate as a member of a multidisciplinary care team and have key accountabilities such as:

Provide basic nursing care based on each resident’s developed care plan and within the framework of an established nursing program.

Encourage and support resident participation in activities of daily living.

Provide input into the development and maintenance of resident care plans and participate in resident care conferences.

Report changes in residents’ physical and mental condition to the Registered Nurse and document as per policy.

Participate in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff, demonstrating an appropriate response to emergencies and safety procedures.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Here’s what will help you succeed as a Personal Support Worker at Pioneer Ridge:

Successful completion of a recognized personal support worker program approved by the Ministry of Long-Term Care; or
-
Enrolled at a college or university in the registered practical nursing or registered nursing program.

A genuine interest and understanding of the needs of the elderly is necessary.

Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
