Hybrid Operator - Operations Centre
We have an exciting opportunity in our Operations Centre where you will play a critical role in protecting people and maintaining secure environments! As a Hybrid Operator, you'll combine responsibilities from both our Support Services and Specialty Services teams. You'll coordinate emergency response, monitoring, and dispatch for client facilities across the province, while also managing property requests from tenants — assessing issues and creating work orders for non-emergency repairs or dispatching on-call technicians for emergencies. This role requires strong multitasking, clear communication, and sound judgment across a variety of call types.
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour, increasing to $22.00/hour upon successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.
Work Hours: Full-time overnight shifts including weekends
Responsibilities:

Handling phone calls and email correspondence

Creating and dispatching mobile units for alarms, grounding, safety, and tenant requests

Building ad-hoc schedules for clients

Checking in with guards at shift start

Backfilling coverage gaps and flagging potential contractual violations or lost coverage to management

Managing residential and commercial property requests, including non-emergency and emergency work orders

Typing reports while actively on calls

Navigating multiple web-based software systems
Requirements:

1-2 years of experience in a call centre, dispatch, scheduling, security, or a related field

Typing speed of 40–52 WPM with approximately 92% accuracy

Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrated computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and a willingness to learn new systems

Ability to type reports while actively on calls

Comfort navigating multiple web-based software systems

Strong listening and assessment skills

Availability to work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including occasional early starts, shift extensions, and additional coverage as required
Hiring Process:
Following the interview, candidates must complete a mandatory, unpaid 1-hour in-person sit-in assessment. This provides candidates with a firsthand look at the role while allowing us to assess suitability for the position. A typing test is also administered as part of this assessment.
