Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with setup and programming experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency in CNC programming, and familiarity with various machining tools and software. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, contributing to high-quality production processes. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Prior experience with Fanuc controls, SolidWorks, CAD software, and lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable. This position is full-time and includes comprehensive training to support your success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling centers, ensuring precise execution of manufacturing specifications
- Program CNC equipment using G-code or conversational programming languages, primarily Fanuc controls
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce accurate parts
- Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards
- Adjust machine parameters based on inspection results to optimize machining processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles
- Assist in assembly or welding tasks as needed to support production goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC setup and programming, particularly with Fanuc controls
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining operations and equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code), CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or similar programs
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and use precision measurement tools like calipers
- Familiarity with machining processes including CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operations
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, forklift operation, and lean manufacturing practices is a plus
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Prior experience with assembly or use of hand tools is advantageous
