BRS Innovations Inc. is a small, owner-operated company, located in Ottawa, ON, that provides products and services to Military, Law Enforcement, and Security customers. BRS specializes in products used for Police Explosive Disposal Units (EDU) and Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), including X-ray technology and explosive storage.
Role
You will:
- Deliver, configure, and service advanced products and/or systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in live environments, both remotely and in person
- Support pre-sales efforts by validating technical feasibility and solution design
- Represent BRS professionally during service and client interactions
- Document service activity clearly and accurately
- Travel to client sites across Canada as required
- Train customers on safe use, application, troubleshooting and safety aspects of company products as required
- Manage shipping of equipment, cross-border and domestic
This position requires someone who is both technically capable and confident in communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel
- Must hold a valid passport, and be able to travel
- Fluent in English and French, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and deliver training in both languages
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Government of Canada Level II security clearance
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Be able to lift and move equipment up to 45 lbs.
- Be able to work in tight or restricted-access mechanical areas
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting, configuration, and equipment repair skills
- Experience repairing equipment and electronics
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of outcomes
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and network-based systems
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience with shipping internationally and normal customs clearance procedures
- Previous experience working with Law Enforcement or Military customers
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and comparable Google Workspace tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
