Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and free of clutter.
- Assist with food handling tasks as needed, including sorting and storing supplies properly.
- Support the kitchen team by preparing basic food items or ingredients when required, following safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and prompt availability of clean dishware for service.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency.
