Tour & Travel Attractions Sales Manager - Live On Air Fallsview Balloon Ride

Timeline: The role would commence as remote, transitioning to hybrid, with an anticipated onsite date of mid-June 2027.
Position Summary:
Live On Air Fallsview Balloon Ride is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and results-driven Tour & Travel Attractions Sales Manager to increase visitation, increase revenue, and expand market presence for one of Niagara Falls’ most unique and memorable attractions.
This role is responsible for proactively developing and managing relationships with domestic and international tour operators, receptive operators, online travel partners, travel agencies, destination management companies, student travel organizations, corporate clients, motorcoach companies, and group travel planners.
The Tour & Travel Attractions Sales Manager will serve as a brand ambassador for Live On Air Fallsview Balloon Ride, with a focus on creating and selling ticket packages, bundled experiences, group programs, and customized itineraries that enhance the Niagara Falls visitor experience. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of tourism industry, a passion for hospitality, and a proven ability to build partnerships that generate measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth
* Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to increase ticket sales, package utilization, and overall attraction attendance.
* Identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities through direct sales efforts, networking, referrals, trade events, and industry partnerships.
* Build relationships with tour operators, receptive operators, travel wholesalers, travel advisors, motorcoach companies, educational groups, youth organizations, senior travel programs, meeting planners, and corporate accounts.
* Negotiate contracts, commission agreements, pricing structures, and package inclusions that align with company objectives.
* Develop and sell exclusive experiences, including private rides, VIP packages, sunset flights, proposal packages, celebration packages, team-building activities, and corporate outings.
* Collaborate with hotels, restaurants, attractions, and transportation providers to create bundled experiences and multi-attraction packages that encourage extended stays in Niagara Falls.
* Identify cross-promotional opportunities with area businesses and tourism organizations.
Account Management & Client Relations
* Maintain regular communication with existing accounts to strengthen partnerships and increase repeat business.
* Conduct sales calls, presentations, familiarization tours, and property visits to showcase the attraction and educate clients on available offerings.
* Respond promptly to inquiries and provide professional proposals, contracts, promotional materials, and booking information.
* Coordinate group reservations and work closely with operations and guest services teams to ensure seamless arrival and guest experience.
* Resolve guest and client concerns professionally while maintaining strong business relationships.
* Monitor account production and implement strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
Marketing & Industry Representation
* Represent Live On Air Fallsview Balloon Ride at local, regional, national, and international trade shows, tourism conferences, sales missions, and networking events.
* Partner with the Marketing Department to develop sales collateral, digital assets, advertisements, brochures, email campaigns, and promotional initiatives for group and leisure markets.
* Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, visitor demographics, and emerging travel patterns.
* Participate in tourism associations, chambers of commerce, and destination marketing organizations to promote the attraction and build strategic relationships.
* Assist in hosting media visits, influencer experiences, and familiarization tours for travel professionals and meeting planners.
Reporting & Administration
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, account contacts, contracts, and opportunities within the company’s CRM system.
* Prepare weekly sales activity reports, monthly production summaries, and annual business development plans.
* Track key performance indicators, including booked guests, group attendance, package utilization, account production, and overall sales growth.
* Assist in developing annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and sales goals.
* Continuously evaluate sales strategies and recommend improvements to maximize market penetration and profitability.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
* Three to five years of sales experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, entertainment, destination marketing, or a related industry preferred.
* Existing relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, destination management companies, and regional tourism organizations are considered a strong asset.
* Strong presentation, negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting established sales goals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and online sales tools.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
