Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Taco Truck Staff to join our team for summer activations. This role involves providing exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment, engaging with customers, and ensuring a memorable experience at each event. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve authentic tacos and related menu items in a timely manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, assembly, and packaging of orders
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing questions and special requests
- Ensure the truck remains organized, stocked, and compliant with health standards during shifts
- Manage time effectively to serve customers efficiently during busy periods
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Cashiering experience and proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy under pressure
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
- Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during events
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving or kitchen work is a plus
- Ability to upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities
