Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks. The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse workflows and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management using our warehouse management system.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or storage areas with precision and safety
- Assist with order picking activities, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders
- Use warehouse management system software to track inventory movements and update records
- Perform basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to handle products or materials safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines
Requirements
- Valid forklift operator certification/license with experience operating clamp trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in warehouse distribution or logistics environments preferred
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding conditions
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order picking
- Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting is highly desirable
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
