Job description
Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform Welding Repairs as required
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions .Equipment may include Tractors, Loaders, Vacuums, Hydraulic Attachments, Off-Road Vehicles, pump and Industrial Mobile equipment.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Complete scheduled maintenance and inspection.
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Attach components and adjust new field equipment
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required
- May be asked to assist the plant maintenance team
- Demonstrate good housekeeping and organization practices to help maintain a safe work area.
- Participate with equipment installations and plans.
- Comply with the provisions of the Quality and Safety Policies.
Required:
- At least 5 years of Welding Experience
- Must be legally entitled to work for ASB Greenworld in Canada
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to perform physical job duties such as bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safety, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
Preferred:
- Red Seal Welder with Strong Mechanic skills
- Ability to demonstrate high performance (work performance, attendance record, safety record, etc.)
- Previous experience in the Peat, Mining or Agriculture
