About Us
Cardio Drumming delivers high-energy music and movement workshops to schools and communities across the GTA and beyond using bucket drums, BoomWhackers, rhythm, and choreographed routines. Our programs help kids stay active, build confidence, and enjoy movement through music in a fun, supportive environment.
We currently have summer workshops already booked and are looking for an energetic instructor to begin training immediately, with opportunities available throughout the summer and potential for ongoing work during the school year.
About the Role
This is a mobile instructor position working with children in schools, camps, and community programs throughout the GTA.
You don't need to be a musician. We're looking for someone who is comfortable leading groups of children, bringing positive energy to a room, and learning a fun, structured program.
One day may involve several workshops at the same location, while another may involve travelling to a single workshop farther from home. Successful instructors are flexible, reliable, and comfortable travelling to a variety of locations.
What You'll Do
- Lead high-energy music and movement workshops for children
- Create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Learn and perform Cardio Drumming routines and activities
- Transport equipment to and from workshop locations
- Set up and pack up workshop materials
- Represent Cardio Drumming professionally at schools, camps, and community events
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Experience leading, teaching, coaching, performing for, or supervising groups of children
- Reliable daytime access to a vehicle throughout the summer
- Valid driver's licence
- Comfortable travelling throughout the GTA and surrounding regions
- Energetic fitness level sufficient to lead multiple workshops per day and lift boxes up to 50 lbs
- Reliable weekday daytime availability
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one immediately

Compensation
- $120 for the first workshop at a location
- $40 for each additional workshop at the same location
- Additional travel compensation provided for longer-distance assignments
Training
Training includes:
- One observation workshop
- Home-study and video practice
- One paid training workshop ($40)
- Two paid shadow workshops ($80 each)
- Final supervised workshop at full pay
Additional opportunities may be available throughout the summer as a secondary instructor supporting and shadowing more experienced instructors.

Pay: $120.00-$450.00 per day
