Dessert Lady is looking for a talented full-time Cook/Pastry Cook for our cafe located on 1 Sultan Street.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing a wide variety of food items from scratch, including: all breakfast items such as Omelette, different style of Eggs, Soups, sandwiches, salads, etc.
- Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the preparation and holding areas.
- Carefully following recipes and instructions to prepare food items
- Opening and or closing the kitchen on a daily basis, insuring that work spaces are properly cleaned and stocked.
- Maintaining an inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure the kitchen remains stocked at all times.
- Being part of a team to ensure a good flow throughout our lunch rushes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years professional cooking experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years Pastry experience preferred
- Familiarity with and ability to operate and maintain kitchen machinery, food preparation equipment and tools.
- Available to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Energetic, strong work ethics and positive attitude.
- Clean, Organized, Good Plating Skills, Attention to details
- Must to able to interact with Customers
- Fast learner, hard-working, & team player.
- Must be able to work independently and Work under Stress
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs of ingredients and products.
- Passionate about food and caring about our Customers' experience
- Fluent English (speaking and writing).
- Certification or Diploma in Culinary Field in an asset
Wage: Starts at $20 and +, depends on the experience
