Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner during service periods.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and notifying management of supply shortages.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Minimize food waste and maintain portion control to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries according to food safety guidelines.
- Support other kitchen team members and contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy service periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
