Are you a 1st Year Apprentice looking for the ultimate environment to sharpen your skills and continue your certification? Harris Victoria Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is under exciting new management in our service department, and we are looking for a driven apprentice to join our high-performing team.
This position is an excellent way to grow your career with a high-volume dealership. We provide on-the-job paid training, mentorship from master technicians, and we will pay for your remaining schooling to help you on your way to achieve your Journeyman ticket. - Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $23.10 per hour
- Location: Victoria, BC — In-person
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (plus every 3rd Saturday for a partial day)
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repairs:Learn and apply proper diagnostic procedures using shop equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements. Remove, install, and replace basic vehicle components under supervision.
- Efficiency & Accuracy: Complete repairs within flat-rate or allocated time guidelines while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Digital Inspections: Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report findings to supervising technicians. Document required repairs clearly, and collaborate with Service Advisors.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere strictly to provincial safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Apprenticeship Status: Registered 1st Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
- Experience: Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Interest: Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the automotive industry.
- Attitude: Upbeat, highly motivated, team-oriented, and genuinely willing to learn.
- Tools: Own set of tools appropriate for a 1st-year apprentice level.
- Licence: Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are required to road-test client vehicles.
