Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to assist with site preparation and material movement
- Assist in paving projects by preparing surfaces, laying asphalt or concrete, and ensuring smooth finishes
- Support various construction activities including framing, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Read and interpret construction plans and instructions to execute assigned duties effectively
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized manner to promote safety and productivity
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction sites preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently; certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of paving techniques and materials is advantageous
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
- Basic understanding of construction plans or blueprints is beneficial but not required
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation preferred for site access
