Reports To: Project Manager/Construction Manager
Roxor requires an energetic, motivated and career-minded and experienced Construction Site Superintendent responsible for coordinating the execution of all Pre-construction and construction activities, ensuring consistently high standards and efficiency.
Job Duties
Carry out in conjunction, with the Project Manager, planning of the project’s construction requirements.
All site operational duties, such as coordinating work schedules and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials by external vendors.
Overseeing all subcontractor works including inspections where required.
Communicating with the professionals to advise them in advance of upcoming inspections.
Preliminary evaluation of the sub-trades’ monthly billing.
Maintaining and updating comprehensive daily work log sheets.
Monitor work advancement against schedule.
Report on each subcontractor’s advancemnt and percentages of work complete.
Review manpower requirements and inform PM.
Coordinate to ensure that deliveries are expedited.
Coordinate work of sub-trades.
Attend site meetings and capture necessary information.
Coordinate and ensure submittal of project closeout documentation
Requirements
Bachelors degree in related field is preferred however Technical Construction management certificate or similar experience is required. A minimum of 15 years experience in Condo Construction site management is essential. Facility with reading and interpreting construction plans. Facility with measurements, quantity take offs, volume calculations etc Bilingual (English and French both written and spoken) Strong communication and problem solving skills Ability to work independently in a busy environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, MS Project, etc.) and email is an asset. .
Work Conditions
Daily Travel to the site will be required.
