Aecon a plusieurs postes ouverts au sein de la division Civil Ouest pour des étudiants(es) en stage coopératif en génie. Ces postes offrent l’occasion de participer activement à des projets de génie civil majeurs et stimulants, tout en favorisant l’apprentissage et le développement professionnel.
Il s’agit de postes basés sur chantier, offrant une exposition à la gestion quotidienne des activités de construction, à l’allocation des ressources, à la planification ainsi qu’au contrôle des coûts. Dans le cadre de ce mandat, le ou la stagiaire aura les responsabilités suivantes :
Ce que vous ferez :
- Effectuer des audits de chantier et des analyses, et produire des rapports quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels destinés à l’équipe de projet et aux parties prenantes clés
- Soutenir les ingénieurs de chantier et les surintendants dans leurs activités quotidiennes
- Effectuer le suivi des quantités et l’analyse de la productivité afin d’optimiser l’efficacité des opérations
- Réaliser des relevés de quantités à partir des plans de construction, au besoin
- Faire preuve d’un souci du détail et vérifier la qualité des travaux complétés
- Communiquer avec l’équipe de projet ou tout représentant d’Aecon concernant l’échéancier du projet
- Suivre l’avancement et contribuer à la production de rapports de coûts des travaux pour les projets en cours
- Fournir des données et contribuer à la conciliation de fin de mois
- Assurer la gestion des dossiers et de la correspondance des projets actifs et complétés
- Fournir un soutien technique aux équipes terrain, aux corps de métier et aux sous-traitants
- Participer à la préparation, la révision, la mise à jour et l’approbation des plans d’ingénierie et des documents connexes
- Recueillir des informations sur le terrain et contribuer à la préparation des listes de matériaux du projet
- Aider à la préparation d’estimations détaillées de construction et de conception
- Collaborer avec les clients, les entrepreneurs et les équipes internes
- Effectuer toute autre tâche administrative requise
- Faire preuve d’autonomie et être capable de travailler avec peu ou sans supervision directe
Ce que vous apportez à l’équipe :
- Être actuellement inscrit(e) dans un programme universitaire ou collégial en génie civil ou en gestion de la construction
- Une expérience en construction constitue un atout important
- Connaissances de base des équipements de construction, des techniques, des plans, des matériaux et des normes applicables
- Détenir un permis de conduire valide avec un dossier de conduite satisfaisant
- Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office (Excel et Word)
- Connaissances de base d’AutoCAD et/ou de Bluebeam (atout)
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication (orale et écrite) et en relations interpersonnelles
- Bon sens de l’organisation et gestion efficace des priorités
- Forte éthique de travail – motivation élevée et volonté de livrer un travail de qualité
- Capacité de s’adapter à des horaires flexibles (jour et nuit) selon les besoins du projet
- Être en mesure de réussir un test préemploi de dépistage de drogues et d’alcool

What is the Opportunity?
Aecon has several openings within the Civil West division for Engineering Co-op students. These positions will provide the opportunity to take an active involvement in exciting heavy civil projects and provide opportunities for learning and development. These are site-based positions and will include exposure to the day to day management of project construction, resource allocation, scheduling and cost control. In this assignment, the student intern will have the following duties:
What You'll Do Here:
- Conduct site audits and analysis, provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to the project staff and key stakeholders.
- Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with day-to-day tasks.
- Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for maximization of operation efficiency.
- Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings as required.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to review the quality of completed work.
- Liaise with and inform the project staff or any other Aecon delegate on the project schedule.
- Monitor progress and assist in the provision of job cost reports to management on active projects.
- Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
- Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
- Provide technical support to field staff, craft and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation, review, maintenance and approval of Engineering drawings and related documents.
- Gather field information and assist in the preparation of project bill of materials.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed construction and design estimates.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and internal departments.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- Must be self-motivated and work well with minimum or no direct supervision.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Beginner knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedules (day and night shifts) when required to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
