Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finishing Carpenter to join our client in burlington, Ideal candidate will be responsible for completing interior and exterior finishing tasks, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and adhering to project specifications. This role requires a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various construction techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Finishing Carpenter will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or industrial projects by delivering precise and durable finishes.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks.
- Install cabinets, trim, molding, flooring, tile, siding, and other interior or exterior finishes.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed for project completion.
- Execute painting, caulking, and restoration work to enhance aesthetic appeal and durability.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with roofing, siding installation, plumbing rough-ins, electrical fixtures, and other related tasks when required.
- Measure accurately to ensure precise cuts and fit of materials.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Extensive experience with carpentry, woodworking, cabinetry installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and siding.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and construction estimating software.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry techniques, roofing systems, and restoration processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with plumbing rough-ins and electrical work is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
