Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced Fire Suppression System Technician/Installer to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. You'll be trusted to complete retrofit projects, service upgrades, and new system installations with minimal supervision.Most of our work is in commercial restaurant kitchens, upgrading older suppression systems and installing new ones in both existing and new construction projects.This role occasionally requires early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends based on customer needs.
Duties
- Retrofit and upgrade commercial kitchen fire suppression systems
- Install piping, nozzles, tanks, pull stations, detection lines, and related components
- Complete full system replacements and new installations
- Diagnose deficiencies and implement code-compliant solutions
- Read installation drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Complete service documentation and reports
- Work safely in active commercial kitchen environments
Experience
- Experience installing or servicing commercial kitchen fire suppression systems
- Experience with piping, detection systems, and retrofit work
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifting equipment
- Knowledge of system design principles related to fire suppression technology is preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics with precision
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards within the industry
- Construction experience is highly desirable, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to work independently
- Valid certifications or licenses related to fire suppression systems are a plus but not mandatory for all roles
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License
