Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods or passengers according to scheduled routes and deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns professionally
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for immediate action
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and handle cargo safely
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for safe driving
