Job Summary
Express is seeking a reliable and experienced Hot Shot Driver to join our reputable client in southeast Calgary. This role involves transporting construction equipment efficiently and safely across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. Duties
· Pick up and deliver construction equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites, suppliers, and the company yard.
· Transport irrigation materials such as pipe, fittings, valves, pumps, controllers, wire, and sprinklers safely and on time.
· Load, unload, secure, and handle equipment and materials safely to prevent damage.
· Keep company vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
· Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
· Pick up rental equipment and return completed rentals to suppliers.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel, and vehicle inspections.
· Ensure compliance with company safety policies, traffic laws, and transportation regulations.
· Assist field crews with moving equipment and materials around job sites as needed.
· Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials immediately.
· Perform basic maintenance on small tools and equipment when required.
· Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
· Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
· Experience driving pickup trucks, trailers, or light commercial vehicles.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Knowledge of construction or irrigation materials is an asset.
· Excavator and Skid knowledge is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
