Duties
- Install shingles on roofs according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform repairs on existing roofs, including replacing damaged shingles.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing materials before installation.
- Ensure proper caulking and sealing of roof edges to prevent leaks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding technical drawings.
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor associated with roofing tasks.
- Strong maintenance person skills with a background in carpentry preferred.
- Ability to use various hand tools safely, including hammers, saws, and drills.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for effective sealing of roofing materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members.
