Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Foam Cutter/Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and programming advanced machinery to produce high-quality foam products. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC equipment, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge, ensuring precise cuts and efficient production processes. This position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate foam cutting machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAD software and Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to meet production standards.
- Set up and calibrate machinery, including CNC programming adjustments for different projects.
- Perform quality control checks using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to ensure product specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as packaging finished products and operating forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks when required, utilizing welding, hand tools, and mechanical skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, Fanuc controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks for design interpretation and machine setup.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, assembly, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate them into machine operations.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills using calipers, hand tools, and press brake machines.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards in foam cutting operations.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to safety protocols. This position is integral to our production team’s success in delivering precision foam products efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Pay: $17.20-$28.62 per hour
