The Role
This is a unique, patient-first clinical role where comprehensive eye care meets uncompromising service. As an Associate Optometrist, you will deliver exceptional clinical care while ensuring every patient feels deeply heard, valued, and looked after.
You will lead comprehensive eye examinations, collaborate closely with our ophthalmology team on shared patient pathways, and guide patients through their vision health journey with clarity, empathy, and grace. You won't just diagnose; you will educate, reassure, and elevate the standard of what a patient expects from an eye care visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence & Comprehensive Care
- Thorough Examinations: Conduct comprehensive eye health assessments, refractive evaluations, and binocular vision assessments with clinical precision.
- Medical Optometry: Diagnose, manage, and treat ocular disease, and seamlessly coordinate integrated care plans alongside our surgeons and clinical specialists.
- Patient Education: Explain complex clinical findings and treatment plans in a simple, reassuring, and engaging way, ensuring patients are empowered partners in their vision care.
- Personalized Prescribing: Tailor optical and medical recommendations to suit each individual patient's lifestyle, occupational needs, and visual goals.

- The Human Connection: Cultivate a calm, premium, and unhurried environment, ensuring patients feel genuinely cared for from the examination chair to check-out.
- Anticipatory Service: Anticipate patient concerns and questions before they are asked, alleviating any medical anxiety with warmth and poise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our surgeons, technicians, and optical team to ensure a seamless, unified approach to each patient's comprehensive care plan.

Who You Are
- Clinically Skilled & Compassionate: You possess a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and a license to practice in Ontario, balanced with a deep, natural desire to look after people in an "unreasonable" way.

Qualifications & Assets
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school.
- Valid license to practice optometry in Ontario (in good standing).
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a major asset to best serve our diverse community.
- Experience or a strong interest in advanced ocular diagnostics, dry eye therapy, and comprehensive medical eye care.
