We are looking for experienced placer mine equipment operators for a remote Yukon placer mining operation. Previous placer mining experience is an absolute requirement. This is not an entry level mining job.
We need operators who understand how placer pits are actually built and mined, not just people who can move dirt.
Required Experience:
- Multiple seasons operating at placer mines
- Strong bulldozer skills in placer pit development
- Experience cutting proper slopes, managing water, stripping overburden, and building efficient mining cuts
- Comfortable operating older equipment and handling basic field repairs
- Able to work safely and independently in a remote camp environment
Equipment Includes:
- Komatsu D355 dozer
- 1996 Cat D6
- Excavators
- Loaders
- Support equipment
Strong asset if you have:
- Yukon placer mining experience
- Washplant operating experience
- Mechanical ability
- Experience working long shifts in remote conditions
This is a remote fly in operation with no road access. Camp is clean, well organized, and professionally run with good food and a solid crew environment.
We are looking for team players who want to be part of the operation and take pride in the work. Reliability, attitude, and the ability to work well with others matter just as much as operating skill.
This is a real mining operation with experienced crews. We are looking for dependable operators who know placer mining and can get the job done without constant supervision.
Must have references.
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
