Now Hiring: Experienced Moving Driver / Crew Lead
Calgary, AB
Previous moving company experience strongly preferred.
If you have never worked for a moving company, furniture delivery company, office moving company, or appliance delivery company, this position is probably not the right fit.
Eager Beaver Moving & Storage is looking for an experienced Driver / Crew Lead who already understands:
- Residential moving
- Furniture protection and padding
- Customer walkthroughs
- Crew leadership
- Loading and unloading moving trucks
- Working 8–12 hour days
- Running jobs from start to finish
- Problem solving on site
- Professional customer service
Commercial moving experience is an asset but is not required.
This is not a driving-only position.
You will spend the majority of your day moving furniture, leading a crew, dealing with customers, completing paperwork, protecting homes, and running the job from start to finish.
We are looking for someone who can operate independently, make good decisions, maintain high standards, and represent Eager Beaver Moving & Storage professionally.
Requirements
- Previous moving company experience strongly preferred
- Furniture or appliance delivery experience considered
- Experience leading crews considered a strong asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Air Brake Endorsement strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating 3-ton and 5-ton moving trucks
- Clean driver's abstract
- Available Saturdays when scheduled
- Physically capable of full-day moving work
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Air Brake Endorsement
- 2+ years moving industry experience
- Experience running residential moves independently
- Experience training or mentoring newer movers
- Commercial moving experience
Compensation
$25.00–$30.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Experienced moving drivers with Air Brakes are strongly encouraged to apply.
