The Advisor Taxation, Compliance, North America is responsible for ensuring the compliance of North American entities with applicable tax laws. In this role, the candidate must monitor changes in various tax legislation and identify and communicate their impacts and opportunities for BRP. He or she will actively participate in the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate the impacts of these changes or to benefit of opportunities. Proactive and organized, you will also provide active support to business units on specific projects.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Preparation of income tax returns for Canadians and other North American legal entities
Participate in corporate tax audits;
Determination and follow-up of installments;
Collaborate to BRP's quarterly Canadian tax accounting and provide external auditors with necessary supporting documentation as well as adopted tax positions;
Monitor changes in tax legislation;
Collaborate to various tax compliance matters other than tax returns;
Proceed and document certain tax research;
Prepare / perform communication with tax authorities;
Contribute to the implementation and improvement of processes.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Master's degree in taxation or equivalent
Recognized professional title in accounting or equivalent in finance
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in taxation;
Excellent analytical and synthetic ability as well as communication skills;
Knowledge of French and English (oral and written);
Good priority management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Interest in technologies and business processes
The position can be located at the company's head office in Valcourt, Quebec, or at the company's facilities in downtown Montreal. Relocation assistance is available if you live more than 80 km from the workplace
