We are seeking a dedicated Construction General Laborer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including operating cleaning equipment like high-pressure water jets, digging, loading and assisting in repairs and maintenance of sewer lines and catch basins.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role in construction or machinery is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions and not scent-sensitive
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy objects, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a clean driver's abstract is preferred
