EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in waste management
- Experience Loading and unloading Machinery
- Experience using a loader
- Ground Disturbances training
- Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment
- Knowledgeable in civil construction
- Ability to coach and mentor apprentices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
- Trenching requirements & Safety procedures
- Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 3 with air brakes is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Operation of varying mechanical equipment
- Ensuring every team member gets home safely.
- Review and understand corporate policies/procedures.
- Review and understand project schedule/milestones.
- Provide afterhours support to crews as needed.
- Coordinate day to day work scope with Foreman
- Coordinate day to day equipment needs.
- Day to day maintenance of equipment and reporting issues to Foreman
- Coordinate with Foreman to ensure that client needs are being met or exceeded.
- Identify potential project scope change to Foreman.
Employment Pre-requisites and Requirements
- D&A Testing and a background check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
