RESET CORE Learning Program supports learners in self-awareness, learning habits and lifelong learning through understanding, practice and habit-forming implementation. The program facilitates understanding neuroplasticity and how the brain learns through a structured research-based model.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Starts work at 8:45 a.m.; ends work at 3:15 a.m.)
Program Type: Summer Program (fixed-term contract with opportunities for renewal based on job performance and student needs)
Student Age Group: Primarily ages 8-13, with some flexibility for younger students

To be eligible, applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
The successful candidate must also cooperate with the employer in completing all grant-related paperwork and required documentation under the funding agreement.
RESET Learning is seeking a responsible, engaging, and student-focused Summer Tutor to support students in a structured summer learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, can lead small groups confidently, and is comfortable delivering academic support while helping maintain a safe, positive, and active program environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring in core subjects such as Math, English, Science, and Social Studies
- Instruct primarily in Math and English
- Adapt lessons to each student’s learning needs and follow RESET Learning’s instructional approach
- Use existing programming to implement daily lesson plans
- Build foundational learning skills such as memory, focus, study habits, and organization
- Prepare lesson materials and review school assignments to support student progress
- Track and report student progress to the Program Director when required
- Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate professionally with students, parents (as directed), and RESET staff
- Attend training sessions and follow RESET teaching standards
- Log hours accurately and complete required documentation
- Supervise and manage groups of up to 10 children
- Support children during field trips and outdoor excursions
Qualifications
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Ability to support students in Math and English
- Familiarity with the BC curriculum
- Strong classroom/group management skills
- Ability to follow structured programming and implement lesson plans effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous tutoring experience
- Experience working in summer camps or similar children’s programs
- First Aid certification
- Experience supervising children during outdoor activities and field trips

We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, proactive, and confident working with children in both academic and active program settings. The successful candidate should be able to balance tutoring support with group supervision and daily program engagement.
