Employment Duties
The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of construction workers and subcontractors
- Establishing methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities with other subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Ordering materials and supplies as required
- Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity
- Preparing progress reports and maintaining project documentation
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring projects meet required standards
- Ensuring that deadlines and project milestones are met
Job Requirements
- Completion of high school diploma
- Experience in the construction industry, including supervisory experience, is an asset
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Physically capable of performing site duties as needed
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset
Work Conditions
- Fast-paced environment
- Outdoor work may be required from time to time in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise on active construction sites
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
- Travel within Canada may be required
