Job Summary
Proton Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing personalized instruction to students in English Language subjects and writing from grade 3 to grade 10. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing students' academic performance through tailored tutoring sessions.
Responsibilities
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills specific to English Language and writing up to grade 10.
- Genuine passion, empathy, and patience for helping students to succeed academically.
- Provide small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as English Language and writing.
- Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to reach their full potential.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Utilize various teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Experience
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong background in tutoring or teaching with demonstrated success in improving student performance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
