Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design and build scalable, high-performance applications supporting regulatory platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, MongoDB, SQL/PLSQL, and modern cloud-native development practices. This role involves developing resilient distributed systems, implementing event-driven architectures, and contributing to engineering excellence through Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java 11+ microservices and full-stack applications.
- Build high-performance backend services using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Implement Kafka producers, consumers, and topics for reliable asynchronous processing.
- Develop and maintain UI and API layers while integrating with downstream services.
- Apply multithreading and concurrency concepts to improve application performance and throughput.
- Design and optimize data persistence using MongoDB and SQL/PLSQL.
- Improve application observability using ELK and centralized logging solutions.
- Support containerized deployments using Docker, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
- Monitor production systems, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement permanent fixes.
- Follow clean coding principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, DevOps engineers, QA, and product owners.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB and SQL/PLSQL.
- Experience with RESTful API development and distributed systems.
- Experience with multithreading and concurrent programming.
- Familiarity with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar container platforms.
- Experience with ELK Stack or centralized logging and monitoring tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building low-latency, high-availability transactional systems.
- Knowledge of distributed caching technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with TDD, BDD, unit testing, and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
- Exposure to Fixed Income products and regulatory reporting is considered a strong asset.
