Position Summary
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position is responsible for reception and general office administrative functions, including answering phones, greeting visitors, new hire administration support, accounts payable/accounts receivable data entry, and other office duties as assigned. This role requires accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Starting wage will depend on experience.
This position will be based out of Peace River, Alberta.
This is an in-office role, no remote or hybrid arrangements are available.
What You'll Do
- Perform reception duties: answering phones, greeting visitors, general administration, filing, scanning, and electronic cataloguing.
- Support new hire administration, including hire packages, documentation, and orientations.
- Complete accounts receivable and accounts payable data entry and document tracking.
- Create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets as assigned.
- Manage correspondence and assist with timely filing of both electronic and paper documents.
- Comply with financial controls, standards, and company procedures.
- Assist various departments and colleagues in a helpful, friendly manner, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Handle confidential and proprietary information to a high standard of discretion at all times.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma required.
- Office reception or administrative experience considered an asset.
- Experience using Axon considered an asset.
- Experience processing administrative documents related to trucking or oilfield services considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and accuracy skills, with the ability to manage interruptions and re-prioritize tasks throughout the day.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook); preference given to candidates with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently while also following direction, working as part of a team, and communicating collaboratively.
