We are looking for a compassionate and reliable person to support our daughter. She is a wonderful 13-year-old girl who is non-verbal and has developmental delays. We are seeking someone to provide respite and actively engage with her by practicing the recommendations from her therapists (OT and SLP). This is a great opportunity for students in Early Childhood Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, Play therapy, music therapy, Developmental Services, or someone with experience in ABA/IBI.
Schedule:
- Weekdays (Monday to Friday) 10h/week : 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Start date mid August or earlier
- Location: Near the Nepean Sportsplex
Requirements:
- Patience, empathy, and a playful spirit!
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Up-to-date Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
Asset requirements:
Speaks sign language
