As we continue to expand, we are currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker to join our team in Victoria, BC.
Position Overview:
As a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker at Redblue HVAC and Refrigeration, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products. From ventilation shafts to air and heat ducts, you will work on diverse projects across small and large scale commercial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications.
- Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
- Develop patterns for sheet metal using computer-assisted design and drafting (CAD) software.
- Operate a variety of metalworking machines, including shears, brakes, punches, drill presses, and CNC equipment.
- Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering, and similar equipment.
- Install sheet metal products in accordance with specifications and building codes.
- Perform grinding and buffing of seams, joints, and rough surfaces to ensure smooth finishes.
- Conduct inspections to maintain product quality and ensure installation conformance to specifications.
Requirements:
- Valid BC driver's license.
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to operate a range of metalworking machinery and equipment.
