Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, freight handling, commercial driving, and automotive repair are highly valued.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate and completed within scheduled timeframes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance or repairs when necessary
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management and freight handling when required
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling and logistics procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism in customer interactions
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in delivery services or transportation roles is preferred but not mandatory
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
