Specialized Vine Crop Grower – Strawberries & Controlled Environment Agriculture

Recline Ridge Produce is looking for a Specialized Vine Crop Grower to join our team as we continue to expand our indoor strawberry production and controlled environment growing program.
We are looking for someone who understands plants at a high level and is excited about using technology, data and hands-on growing experience to push strawberry production forward.
The Role
The successful candidate will take an active role in managing and improving our indoor strawberry production. This is not simply a crop maintenance position. We are looking for a grower who can evaluate plant response, identify opportunities and work with our team to continually improve yield, fruit quality and crop consistency.
Experience We Are Looking For
- Strong experience with strawberry production and/or specialized vine crops
- Controlled environment agriculture, greenhouse or indoor growing experience
- Strong understanding of plant nutrition, irrigation, EC, pH and crop steering
- Experience identifying and correcting plant health, pest, disease and environmental issues
- Knowledge of LED horticultural lighting is required
- Understanding of PPFD, DLI, photoperiod and plant response to different light intensities and spectra
- Experience with dynamic lighting strategies or programmable spectral lighting would be a strong asset
- Understanding of environmental controls including temperature, humidity, VPD, CO₂ and airflow
- Comfortable working with crop data, production targets and ongoing trials
- Ability to work collaboratively with our existing growing and technical team

Our facility combines controlled environments, LED lighting, environmental monitoring and crop data to continually refine how strawberries can be produced indoors.
We want someone who is interested in more than maintaining an existing growing recipe. We are looking for a grower who wants to help develop the recipe.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with our team on lighting strategies, environmental optimization, crop steering, production trials and new technologies as we continue to improve the operation.

You may come from commercial strawberry production, greenhouse vegetables, vine crops, horticultural research or controlled environment agriculture.
What matters most is that you understand plant performance, can recognize what the crop is telling you and have the technical knowledge and curiosity to help us produce better results.
This position would be particularly well suited to someone who enjoys combining horticulture with technology and wants to be part of building a growing system rather than simply operating one.
