Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant and Kitchen Helper BOH to join our team. In Food Counter Attendant's role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. In Kitchen Helper BOH role, you will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and support the overall operation of the kitchen. Your ability to manage time effectively and ensure food safety will contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for our customers.
Food Counter Attendant Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the food service area, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Kitchen Helper/BOH Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs and ensuring timely meal production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Handle food safely by practicing proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Serve meals efficiently to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking supplies, and restocking ingredients as needed
- Support the team during busy service times by ensuring smooth kitchen operations and quick turnaround of orders
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry for at least 6 months is preferred, with a focus on fast food experience.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during high-pressure periods
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.51-$20.00 per hour
