Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and experienced Freelance Brand Ambassadors to represent our premium skincare brand IDC Dermo Cosmetics at Shoppers Drug Mart locations throughout the Markham and Scarborough regions.
This role is ideal for beauty professionals who are passionate about skincare, enjoy engaging with customers, and have previous experience working within the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique or Cosmetics Department as a Freelancer, Beauty Advisor, or Cosmetic Consultant.
Availability is required Thursday through Saturday, with flexibility to work at various Shoppers Drug Mart locations across the assigned territory.
Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are required to effectively support and connect with our diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the skincare brand professionally within Shoppers Drug Mart retail locations.
- Conduct engaging skincare consultations and product demonstrations.
- Educate customers on product ingredients, benefits, and routines tailored to their skincare needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while building brand awareness and driving sales.
- Recommend complementary products and confidently upsell based on customer needs.
- Support merchandising by ensuring displays are clean, fully stocked, and aligned with brand standards.
- Assist with in-store promotional events and sampling activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting work area.
- Build strong relationships with store management, Beauty Boutique teams, and customers.
- Accurately complete sales reporting and provide feedback following each shift.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience working at Shoppers Drug Mart as a Freelance Brand Ambassador, Beauty Advisor, Cosmetic Consultant, or within the Beauty Boutique/Cosmetics Department.
- Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese, with strong English communication skills.
- Passion for skincare, beauty, and customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently while representing the brand to the highest standard.
- Availability to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on an ongoing basis.
- Reliable transportation to travel between Shoppers Drug Mart locations in the Markham and Scarborough regions.
Preferred:
- Experience with premium skincare brands.
- Retail sales experience with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Knowledge of skincare ingredients and routines.
- Experience with merchandising and promotional events.
