Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team and to help manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in daily operations, assist with patient care, and ensure the smooth functioning of the pharmacy. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, providing essential support to improve patient outcomes and medication management. Candidates with pharmacy experience or pharmacy technician background are highly preferred, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Customer service (greet patients and help with any questions)
- Keep patient information confidential and private
- Clear communication
- Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed
- Report to the Pharmacy Manager and will be responsible for filling prescriptions and following the proper billing procedures.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves and tracking medication supplies
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with precision
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and healthcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members to facilitate seamless pharmacy operations
Qualifications (Requirements)
- Completed the Pharmacy Assistant program
- 1-2 years of Kroll experience
- Previous retail or specialty pharmacy experience
- Independent thinking
- Critical problem solving
- Clear communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
