Face Painter (Freelance, Summer Camp & Events)
Overview
We are seeking a creative, energetic, and child-friendly Face Painter to join our team for summer camps and special community events. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has strong artistic skills, and can create fun, engaging face paint designs in a safe and welcoming environment.
This role involves providing face painting services at children's summer camp programs and occasional family-friendly events throughout the summer.
Responsibilities
- Create colourful, age-appropriate face paint designs for children of various ages
- Engage positively with children and families to create a fun and memorable experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary face painting station
- Properly clean brushes, sponges, and materials between participants
- Assist with setup and cleanup before and after camp activities and events
- Follow safety and hygiene guidelines when working with children
- Help contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere during camp programming and special events
Qualifications
- Experience with face painting, visual arts, children's entertainment, or similar creative activities
- Comfortable working directly with children in group settings
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while interacting positively with families and staff
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and hygiene practices
- Reliable transportation to attend in-person camp and event locations
Schedule & Location
- Part-time, seasonal summer position
- In-person role
- Primarily children's summer camps, with occasional special events throughout the summer
- Weekend and evening availability may be required for certain events
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in camps, schools, childcare programs, birthday parties, or community events
- Experience with balloon twisting, crafts, children's activities, or other family entertainment is an asset

Pay: $17.65-$21.00 per hour
