GW Carlson is a Grade K – 4 elementary school that enrolls aprox 130 students. We are a diverse school community, with 35% of our students self-identifying as having Aboriginal heritage. Our staff works hard to provide personalized, engaging, and flexible learning opportunities for all students. We work as a team to provide the best instructional techniques and support for our students.
This position is eligible for a pre-employment hiring incentive of [$10, 000.00] in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position. Note: Candidates are not eligible for the above if they were previously paid a pre-employment hiring incentive for a teaching position in the K-12 sector (in the 2023/2024, 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 school years under the provincial hiring incentives program). Qualifications:
Successful Primary classroom teaching experience.
Knowledge of and willingness to use, current best practices in education.
Familiarity with BC Curricular Competencies.
A strong team orientation.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
A desire to grow professionally.
Clear Criminal Record Check.

The starting annual salary for this Elementary School Teacher position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
