Position Summary:
We are seeking caring, reliable Respite Workers to provide in-home and community-based respite support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, and complex needs. Shifts may vary and are scheduled based on family needs and your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care, supervision, and support in alignment with individual care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities such as games, community outings, crafts, or walks.
- Assist with personal care (toileting, feeding, dressing) as required.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies and maintain a calm, professional approach.
- Ensure a safe environment while promoting independence and choice.
- Complete documentation and communicate with the team as required.
- Deescalate aggressive behavior's and situations.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a caregiving role (preferred).
- Comfortable supporting clients with high needs, including those with aggressive behaviors or self-injurious behaviors (training provided).
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
