Job description
Aspen Grove Montessori School is looking for talented and energetic individuals to join our teaching team to assist in our Summer Camp – Camp Eureka! Our camp exposes children to interesting fields of study each week. Exploration and learning will inspire our students to explore fields of study and discover what the future may hold for them through tangible experiences.
Responsibilities
· Assist with the day-to-day operations of the camp (including set-up and clean-up)
· Deliver the camp program in a fun, motivating and positive attitude.
· Follow the school’s daily schedule and assist in the events and activities planned out each day.
· Supervise the children at all times to ensure safety in the classroom.
· Memorize all the children with allergies, medical and/or special needs.
· Report to the classroom teacher or supervisor immediately of any changes, problems or concern.
Qualifications
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Standard First Aid and CPR Level C required
· Clear Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Check required
· Candidates in Early Childhood Education / Bachelor of Education (Primary), or has previous camp experience is seen as an asset.
· Experience working with children is an asset
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate effectively
Compensation & Employment Duration
· This position will begin in June to August 28th, 2026
· Camp runs Monday to Friday
· Shifts in July and August will be from 8:30am to 5:30pm
· Must be available every weekday from July 6th to August 28th (Except Civic Holiday)
· $17.60-$19.50 per hour (paid monthly)
