We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Assistant to join our dedicated Outfitting Team at our Vancouver, BC location.
This is a temporary 6-month contract position offering an opportunity to support our team with warehouse operations and outfitting activities.
Job description:
- Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within established guidelines .
- Manages the warehouse cycle counting activity and reports results for compilation into monthly cycle report issued by others to Director of Materials.
- Determines proper storage methods and stock locations based on turnover, as well as environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable and excess stock.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records (MAS 500) and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Follows instructions as to the process workflow of materials, warehoused and delivered, according to instructions from the reporting authority.
- Confers with yard supervisors and/or materials manager to coordinate material deliveries
- Drives forklifts and trucks in order to unload incoming stock or to deliver material to designated locations to issue and/or distribute materials, products, parts and supplies to customers and/or coworkers based on information from incoming requisitions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
1. Valid Drivers License Class 3 with air brake or class 4 , 5 with Endorsement code 15 or 20.
2. Forklift certification
Pay: $25.00-$27.50 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
