Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results on various projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading. Candidates should possess relevant experience in masonry and concrete forming to contribute effectively to our projects.
Duties
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
- Perform restoration work including caulking, masonry repairs, and flooring installation as needed
- Assist with concrete curing processes and apply finishing techniques such as troweling, edging, and brooming
- Conduct masonry tasks related to concrete structures and perform welding or carpentry work when required
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris removal throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction roles
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, carpentry, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with restoration techniques, flooring installation, caulking, welding, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various phases of construction projects
- Prior experience with renovation projects or working on commercial/residential sites is preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites is essential
