The Waypoint is a waterfront restaurant located at Lake of the Woods Marina, and we're looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen. This is more than just another restaurant job—it's an opportunity to help shape a growing food program while working at one of Kenora's most unique destinations.
Whether it's serving boaters pulling into the docks, creating weekend features, or being part of special events on the water, no two days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Prepare and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment
- Create weekly features and contribute to menu development
- Order inventory and manage food costs
- Schedule and lead the kitchen team
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Work closely with management to continue growing The Waypoint
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or experienced Line Cook ready to take the next step
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to perform well in a busy kitchen
- Passion for creating great food and a great team culture
- Safe Food Handling certification is an asset
What We Offer
- $25–35/hour, depending on experience
- 35–40 hours per week
- Primarily Wednesday through Sunday schedule, with some flexibility when needed
